Numbers 11:1 "And the people complained in the hearing of the LORD about their misfortunes, and when the LORD heard it, his anger was kindled, and the fire of the LORD burned among them and consumed some outlying parts of the camp. 2Then the people cried out to Moses, and Moses prayed to the LORD, and the fire died down. 3So the name of that place was called Taberah, because the fire of the LORD burned among them."--What is it in our nature that makes it so easy to complain and why does it feel so good? There is something about complaining that gives us release. But there is also something about complaining that keeps us trapped. Trapped in seeing the glass half empty. Trapped in seeing ourselves or those around us as not good enough. Worse yet, complaining tells the Lord that what He has done for us is not enough, that He needs to do more to satisfy our bottomless stomachs.
