Since we are a new church, we have many opportunities for you to serve. Below are just a few of these opportunities.

 

Worship Band musicians and vocalist

If you are a proficient musician or can sing, we'd love to have you join our Sunday morning worship team. Please contact Jason Swanson (our drummer) on Sunday morning for more information how you can jump in.

 

Hospitality Team

If you love Starbucks coffee and serving others, we need you on our Hospitality Team. In this ministry you will need to arrive 1 hour before our Sunday morning worship gathering to help put on the coffee and set the food out. This is a great opportunity for you to make a lot of people happy, because after all, everyone likes to eat.

Welcome Team

If you can smile and say hello, we need you. We are looking for people who know how to make new comers feel welcome. The only requirements are that you show up 15 minutes early and have a working knowledge of where the children's ministry is located and where the bathrooms are. If this describes you, we'd love to have you join our team.

Small Group Leaders

We believe that it is vital that members of South Loop Church stay connected in community with each other. We are in need of individuals who are mature in their faith to lead a small group. Small Group Host

If you love having people over to your house, apartment, or condo, and have adequate parking, we would love to have you host one of our small groups. If you can open up your home, please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

 

Set-up/Teardown Team

If you can show up an hour early (9a) or stay a half an hour late (11:30a) and can carry a box, we need you to help us either set-up or teardown. We would like to get enough individuals involved so that each team member only has to be scheduled one Sunday a month.

Children's Workers and Teachers

If you love working with kids from infant to 5th grade, we need you to help us with South Loop Kids. We will have the lesson plan prepared for you, all you will need to do is a short time of preparation before meeting on Sunday mornings (all of our Children's Team must fill out an application and be subjected to a Federal background check)

 

Graphic Design

If you have an eye for design and are savvy with Adobe Creative Suite or are trained in web design we need you to help us communicate the Greatest Story ever told to a art-appreciative culture in the South Loop. It is our desire that every piece of print and virtual media that we create be reflective of the Creative God that we serve.

Media Team

If you have a working knowledge of Final Cut Pro or can work a camera, you can join our Media Team.
